Other Cisco Certification tracks

CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician)
The Cisco CCENT certification validates the skills required for entry-level network support positions, the starting point for many successful careers in networking. Candidates should have the knowledge and skill to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security. CCENT certification

is the first step toward achieving CCNA, which covers medium size enterprise branch networks with more complex connections.

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
One of the most popular of Cisco's certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN.

CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional)
The CCVP certification recognizes the increased importance placed on IT professionals of today who are responsible for integrating voice technology into underlying network architectures. Individuals who earn a CCVP certification can help create a telephony solution that is transparent, scalable, and manageable.

The certification content focuses on Cisco Systems CallManager, quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.

CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert)
CCIE is the hardest and toughest Cisco certification. There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE certification. However all the knowledge learnt at both CCNA and CCNP levels will be fully utilised. There are five different CCIE exams one for each certification track. Routing and Switching, Storage Networking, Security, Service Provider and Voice. Candidates must first pass a separate CCIE written qualification exam and then the corresponding one day hands-on lab exam.
